Congratulations to the 13th Door Haunted House which has been featured this month as "Denver's Scariest Haunted House" on ALTITUDES TV "AROUND THE TOWN" segment. You can still catch the feature until the end of the month.

There is still time to get a good scare at all of the Denver Haunted Houses. Most of the Haunts will be open until there is no one left in line on Halloween. It is always a good idea to check the websites ahead of time so that you won't be disappointed. The ghouls are still out there waiting to scare the screams right out of you!

October 27
The final week of haunting!
I can't believe it. Every year since I can remember on Halloween it has either rained, snowed or been the coldest day on record. According to the five day forecast, this Halloween is going to be mild, sunny and a warm 60. Of course, this is Colorado and all that could change in a matter of seconds. If you haven't had a chance to go to a Haunted House this season, sounds like this would be a great year to do so. Nice fall weather, Scary Ghouls, what more could a girl or guy ask for? Be sure to check out the websites for times and prices before you go.

SAW IV MONDAY - They will be giving away Saw IV lollypops, posters, stickers and more at the following Haunted Houses on Monday the 29th. CarnEvil, Dead Before Dawn, 13th Door and Slaughterhouse Gulch. Free to anyone until they are gone! So...let's play a game!!

October 20
It's going to be a beautiful Saturday night. What a great time to visit a Haunted House. No matter where you live in the city, there is a Haunted House close to you. In some cases, there are several! This year there are so many great Haunts to choose from. If spiders scare you than checkout SPIDER MANSION. Clowns your main fear? CARNEVIL is for you. Crazy inmates? The ASYLUM is waiting. Horror Classics? SLAUGHTERHOUSE GULCH has them. Corn maze and outdoor creepiness? FRIGHTMARE is a must. Zombies? Check out DEAD BEFORE DAWN. Jungles, Dungeons and more? HAUNTPLEX is a scare away. Classic Disney? HAUNTED MANSION is perfect. The scares legends are made of? 13th DOOR is open! Check out the map and go to the home pages of a haunt near you. There are only 12 days left until Halloween. Don't just stay at home and wait for the World Series to start (GO ROCKIES). It's Haunting time!!

I can't believe that we are already half way through the season and the Rockies are on their way to the World Series...okay, they still have a few more important games to play, but I believe in being positive. We had our first taste of Fall weather over the weekend, but that didn't damper the spirits of those who came to enjoy the Haunted Houses. Having inside Haunts does have its advantages, just ask any of our tired, but dry actors. We want to thank everyone who came out this week and don't forget, your wristbands are worth an additional $5 off the admission price to any one of our Haunted Houses. See, they are not just pretty to look at, they will save you money as well. We will be posting more reviews tomorrow and welcome anyone who would like to send a review about their favorite Haunt to do so. Send it to kewalker@starland.com

Today two of our Haunts, CarnEvil and Dead Before Dawn located at Red and Jerry's, were featured on The Morning Show with Chris Parente's from the CW2. Several actors were there in complete costume and makeup to show Chris around the Haunts. Did I mention that it was 5:30AM and that most of the actors had worked until 10:30 the night before scaring people. That's what I call dedication! I know other haunts will tell you that they have great actors, but in our case it is absolutely true! Thank you Dave, AJ, Danny, Brett, Jason Drew, Kate and Hershel. You guys are great!! Chris said that there would be footage up at CW2 of his visit to the Haunts, so check them out.


October 01
First of all, we wanted to thank everyone who came out for our Preview weekend. We received lots of great feedback and our Actors really appreciated hearing both the "good" and sometimes the "not so good" comments from those who came. Your input will help them
improve their performance over the next month. We are constantly striving to give you the best "scares" possible. If you think you have what it takes to "scare the screams" right out of people, then there are still positions available at our new haunt "DEAD BEFORE DAWN". Just stop by Red and Jerry's and fill out an application. You do need to be 16 or over and these are Paid positions. We open for the season on October 5 and will be open through October 31. Some of the other Haunts in town have different hours and times, be sure to check their websites before you go.

September 28
OPENING DAY! This is a very exciting and hectic day for Haunt owners. You try to make sure all the "last minute details" are done just to find another "last minute detail" that you forgot. Judging from the Haunts listed here, this Haunting season should be great! Lots of great Haunts are returning and there are a few new Haunts to check out as well.

As for us...13th Door and Slaughterhouse are opening tonight at 7:00 (I-225 and Parker Rd). CarnEvil (at Red and Jerry's on Santa Fe and Oxford) also opens at 7:00. Dead Before Dawn opens on October 4. So come on by and check us out. Mention that you read the Blog on Hauntedratings and get a $1.00 off the admission price tonight only.
